Sycamore Park - Park Closure & Notice of Construction

The project was financed in part by a grant from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Commonwealth Financing Authority ARPA PA Small Water and Sewer Program

Construction will begin on improvements to the stormwater basin at Sycamore Park as early as the week of July 8, 2024.
Construction is anticipated throughout the summer with major construction work anticipated to end by mid-September.  Miscellaneous intermittent work may occur thereafter through the end of May 2025.  The work is being done concurrent with work at another location in the Township, so you may not see work being done at this location every day.

PARK CLOSURE

Sycamore Park will be closed to public access as of the start of construction until further notice for public safety as the park will be an active construction zone.  Access during this time is prohibited and violators may be prosecuted for trespassing.  For your safety, we thank you for your cooperation with the access prohibitions during construction.

WORK HOURS

The contractor may generally work from 7:00am to 8:00pm Monday-Friday, and 8:00am to 4:00pm Saturday.  Sunday and nighttime work is not anticipated but may be required in the case of urgency.

SPECIAL NOTICE TO 61 & 65 WILLOWDALE AVE

The primary work entrance will be from the Sycamore Street entrance to the park.  Though unanticipated, it may be necessary for work to access from the Willowdale Ave municipal right-of-way between the properties of 61 and 65 Willowdale Ave.  Any disturbance to vegetated/landscaped areas within municipal easements and right-of-way will be stabilized and restored with grass cover.  Any shrubbery, trees, or other landscape/ vegetation will not be replaced in kind as these types of features inhibit municipal access for maintenance and repair.  That said, reasonable care will be taken to minimize disturbance in access from Willowdale Ave.  Please contact the Township office (610-759-5341 x3) to discuss any specific concerns related to construction access described herein.
